My name is Nancy Davis, and I’m a Texas native who grew up in Maryland and then moved to Orange County, California. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology from U.C. Irvine and got an additional degree from The Assistance Dog Institute in Santa Rosa in training service dogs. I am continuing my education with a triple major at Santa Rosa Junior College, in the Veterinary Technician Certificate Program, in Equine Science, and in Garden Design with CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting). I’ve worked in kennels at the Assistance Dog Institute and at Anderson Acres, also in Santa Rosa. Currently I am in my second year of an internship at Shone Farm, working with livestock and becoming very well acquainted with horses, cattle, sheep and llamas. My family includes two golden retrievers, Tay and Reyne, and a rescue cat named Paulie. We all live in a home on three acres of redwoods that I own out in Cazadero. I could say that I like animals better than people, but I’m still very fond of both. I’ve been a total animal lover since birth.
Alexis Gusts grew up in the suburbs of southern California, where her animal-loving family owned everything from cats, dogs, and rabbits, to chinchillas, mice, and lizards. Her greatest passion is horses, and she has ridden and handled horses for 15 years. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, with a specialization in Equine Science. Before deciding to leave southern California and go back to school, Alexis offered a turnout service at the barn where she boarded her horses, sometimes handling up to twelve horses per day. Alexis has worked as a trail string guide, riding instructor, and exercise rider, as well as a kennel assistant at a Santa Rosa vet hospital. When it comes to domestic animals, she loves all types of cats and dogs, but has a special place in her heart for large-breed dogs, considering she has a ninety-pound German Shepherd of her own.
Hey, I'm Marc and I was born in Ireland where I lived on a small farm. I moved to the Bay Area back in 1994. I've loved working with animals my whole life and am currently studying Animal Science. I enjoy caring for and loving all animals; big or small. I have spent my life around dogs and would have to say that German Shorthaired Pointers are my favorite.
